摘要

This alloy has outstanding tensile properties at all temperatures up to 600F. Its thermal neutron cross-section value is similar to that of pure aluminum Corrosion test3 of 2000 hours duration in refluxing, boiling, distilled water at 2120F indicate that its resistance to corrosion is of the same order as 2S and 72S. The resistance to corrosion of all aluminum-base alloys in water decreases rapidly with increasing water temperature, and, at 600F none of the aluminum-base alloys, commercial or experimental, has appreciable resistance to corrosion.
