NOTES FROM THE CONFERENCE ON URANIUM METALLOGRAPHY AT BATTELLE MEMORIAL INSTITUTE ON JULY 10, 1949

A conference was held at Battelle in July, 1949, to compare and discuss the preparation and interpretation of uranium metallographic specimens. Duplicate specimens in a variety of conditions of heat treatment had been distributed to the various laboratories prior to the meeting. Representatives of the various laboratories presented their results on these specimens and gave detailed descriptions of the techniques employed.nThis report gives a complete summary of the proceedings and includes a representative set of photomicrographs of the cooperative specimens.
