EFFICIENCY OF A HEAT EXCHANGER USING SQUARE FINS ON ROUND TUBES

摘要

This report treats the problem of the transfer of heat between two fluids in a heat exchanger composed of round - tubes with square:fins. The fins and tubes are arranged as shown ,in Figure 1. The fins shown in the figure are all from a single metalİİc sheet, which is large compared to the diameter of a single tube. Âdvantage is taken of this fact by as assuming that the fin sheet is infinite in extent. This assumption affects the results very little and simplifies the problem mathematically. No assumption regarding the relative size of a single fin and the tube diameter are made
