This work represents an attack on a collection of minor problems related to the operation of a pulse column. While not important enough to warrant appreciable project effort, they did represent an interesting and suitable graduate thesis problem. It was judged appropriate to support this thesis program through the loan of equipment, the fabrication of some special perforated plates and technical direction. (Later it was found necessary to supply some manpower.)
