摘要

Two electrical, geometrical analogues are presented for the determination of two-directional equipotential patterns of Postman fields created by uniformly or nonuniformly distributed sources for steady-state or transient conditions. The numerical values of these equipotential (isothermal) lines as applied to heat conduction problems are obtained directly from potential measurements through the use of a standard resistance. The accuracy of thecae techniques is demonstrated by comparing the results from the analogue with the analytical results for a number of steady-state and transient problems.
