摘要

The thermal and electrical conductivity and the thermoelectric power of anatural graphite and several artificial graphite types have been measured from near the liquid-helium point to room temperature. The thermal conductivity was measured by a "self-heating" (Kohlrausch) method which permitted the use of small sarnples. The thermal conductivity was found to vary as the 2.7 power of the temperature in the low-temperature region. There appeared to be no correlation between the particle size and the temperature dependence in the low temperature region, but there was evidence for a smaller dependence on tem perature with a decrease in the degree of graphitization. The thermoelectric power at a given temperature was found to increase with a decrease in particle size.
