The results that were obtained by this procedure are less accurate than by the circle sulfate or potassium dichromate procedures, which have been studied extensively in various, trisect laboratories.nThe errors are within the limits that were found by Kolthoff in the determination of iron. The results tend to be high, probably because of unavoidable loss of bromine during the titration. This error car is minimized by coppering and shaking the flask at frequent intervals during the titration.
