Mixed uranium-plutonium oxide, which had been irradiated at the MTR, was used to spike feed for the first Fast Oxide Breeder solvent extraction cycle run. Plutonium and uranium were at full strength. Material balances and losses were satisfactory, but decontamination factors were somewhat lower than expected.nIrradiations of 30% tributyl phosphate in Ultradense gave a yield for dibutyl phosphate production of 0.62 molecule per 100 electron volts absorbed. Only small changes occurred in the infrared spectrum of the solvent due to irradiation.
