The objective of this study was to prepare new nuclides and to predict the half-life properties of unknown nuclides. The principal regions in which new nuclides are discovered are farther and farther from stability. However, there remain yet a number of unknown radionuclides near stability, particularly among the even-even species (even numbers of protons and neutrons).
