The control of the hazard from organic contaminants can be accomplished by limiting the quantity of organics processed through selection of feed materials based on analysis along with limiting temperatures attained during processing.nThe best long term solution to uranium sawdust utilization appears to be kiln conversion of sawdust to U3O8. This is being planned. However, preliminary investigation has shown the feasibility of reacting detergent degreased sawdust with a sodium hypochlorite.
