摘要

The results of measuring the instantaneous intensity ratio of a neutral helium spectral line to one of ionized helium, both originating in a helium plasma, may be used to obtain information regarding the degree of ionization and temperature of the plasma. Such measurements have been made with the Model B Stellarator using the 4921 Å line of singly ionized helium. In the following we will calculate the intensity ratio to be expected for various values of degree of ionization and electron temperature.
