EXAMINATION OF SINTERED ALUMINUM PRODUCT TUBES

摘要

The metallographic examination of three samples of SAPS tubing, two of Swiss origin and one of Alcoa M257 material is reported.nOn annealing, the Swiss samples developed blisters. This is attributed to high hydrogen content and its diffusion to an oxide rich zone located near the outer surface of the tubes. The Alcoa M257 sample did not blister on annealing, and its microstructure was found to be satisfactory.
