摘要

Nuclear power reactors and high pressure boilers construction stainless steel are subject to stress corrosion in the presence of chloride and fluoride in oxygenated systems. Consequently, determinations were requested for chloride (0.5 - 15 micrograms) and fluoride (0.5 - 50 micrograms). A procedure involving bleaching of the mercury diphenylcarbazone complex is used to determine chloride. Fluoride is measured by the bleaching of the thorium-"Thorin" complex. These procedures were successfully applied to samples of metal oxides, salts, and solutions.
