A CURRENT-STABILISED POWER SUPPLY USING- TRANSISTORS

A circuit is described which has been used successfully for stabilising currents of up to one ampere to better than five parts in 105 which employs transistors. Curves are given showing the frequency dependence of the phase-shift and gain of the amplifier stage together with a curve showing the relative stability of the amplifier stage as a function of a particular resistance in the circuit. Precautions necessary for the multiple operation of these units from common power supplies are described and circuit diagrams are given.
