The objectives of this program are:n1. to produce a commercially reproducible calandria tube-tube sheet joint capable of joining and sealing a calandria tube-tube sheet according to specifications with reactor standards of quality and reliability,n2. to produce a commercially reproducible fuel-coolant tube closure capable of sealing the end of a fuel-coolant tube according to specifications with reactor standards of quality and reliability,n3. to determine the suitability of a Mar man coupling for a zirconium-steel fuel tube joint for a high temperature reactor coolant application.
