This report describes an experimental investigation to determine the ultimate accuracy of the Isotope Velocity Method for measuring the flow of fluids in turbulent motion contained in pipes and open channels of constant and known cross-section. The measurements were made using water flowing at 7 and 17 cu. ft. per sec. in a pipe of 20 ins. diameter.nThe results, which were obtained by comparison with an absolute system of direct weighing, indicate that the Isotope Velocity Method can be operated with an error of + 1 per cent.
