摘要

The feasibility of conducting a high-temperature, high-pressure experiment in a reactor radiation field has been adequately demonstrated. Six graphite specimens, two each clad with Inconel, Type 310 stainless steel, and Type 446 stainless steel were irradiated in the Battelle Memorial Institute reactor for approximately five weeks in CO2 at 1000 psi and 1500°F. A similar experiment was performed for four weeks at General Atomic without radiation.
