UFO:A Three-Dimensional Neutron Diffusion Code for the IBM 704

UFO is a code for the solution of the few-group neutron diffusion equation in three-dimensional Cartesian coordinates on the IBM 704. An accelerated Liepmann flux iteration scheme is used, and optimum parameters can be calculated by the code whenever they are required. Both the theory and operation of the program are discussed.
