Hydraulic Tests of Methods of Decreasing Annular Flow Past an SRE Orifice

Preseure-dropmeasurements were cade across three labyrinth-type (cup shaped) orifices (Figures 1 and 2) attached to the bottom: end of a mockup of ar. SHE 7-rod fuel element suspended in a simulated 3KE process tube. Data were obtained use water as the teat fluid and were converted to sodium at 550F, which is the temperature assumed at the orifice.
