THE CROSS SECTIONS FOR THE FORMATION OF ASTATINE ISOTOPES MADE BY THE BOMBARDMENT OF Bi209 WITH He3

Bismuth-209 was bombarded with He3 on the Berkeley Heavy-ionnlinear accelerator. Cross sections for the formation of astatine isotopes were measured. The experimental cross sections are compared with theore-tical cross sections, calculated using the Jackson model.nThe results of this work are compared with those of other workers and proposals for further research are made.
