STABILIZATION OF POWER DISTRIBUTION THROUGHOUT FUEL LIFETIME WITH EMPHASIS ON REACTORS WITH INTEGRAL SUPERHEAT NUCLEAR SUPERHEAT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The question of gross power shifts due to fuel burnup in multiregion reactors is of particular interest in reactors with integral nuclear superheat. It would seem desirable to build into the reactor a self-regulating system of power distribution control which would require a minimum of external control. This report discusses the feasibility of such a program, and outlines various methods in terms of initial core parameters whereby the program may be made practicable.
