摘要

In the boiler region, the power and flux distributions are functions not only of fuel composition-and control rod settings but also of operating power level. A change in the power of the boiler will change the total amount of steam generated as well as change1 the distribution of steam voids. The amount and distribution of the voids will affect the reactivity, void coefficient, and power distribution.nThe presence of the nonuniform core voids does not permit a simple separation of the multi-group diffusion equations into a radial and an axial problem, and an over-all two-dimensional power distribution must be calculated. The results are iterated to make them self-consistent with the heat transfer and fluid flow requirements.
