The Nike-Zeus FAR sites will include operational and billeting facilities, requiring 10,000 kw of firm power。 The exact locations of the sites are classified (Ref. 1); however, for purposes of this report, an area was chosen similar to the northern Great Lakes region of the United States,nBecause of the isolated location, the proposed power plant will be the only source of power for the Nike-Zeus installation; therefore, it must have a high degree of reliability.
