The purpose of this study was to establish reasonable estimates of the values of thermal conductivity and dynamic viscosity of water in the critical region. This was accomplished by reviewing the literature and utilizing available experimental measurements. The validity of the estimates was strengthened by the use of the principle of corresponding states after other considerations failed to contribute a description of these two transport properties in the critical region. The final re¬sults were expressions of a thermal conductivity excess and dynamic vis¬cosity excess as unique functions of density.
