摘要

An aryl-triaroxy silicon heat transfer fluid has been electron irradiated at 300-400°C and the resulting gaseous, liquid, and polymeric products deter¬mined. The viscosity changes also were measured using a sealed suspended level type viscometer.nIt was found that while the decomposition yields are satisfactorily small, the viscosity increase is very great, especially at high doses.nSome information about the structure of the polymeric material produced has been obtained from infra-red spectra.
