RECONNAISSANCE FOR URANIUM IN THE ARICA AREA, PROVINCE OF TARAPACA, CHILE

摘要

In August 1958 two geologists of the Instituto de Investigaciones Geologicas de Chile made a one-week reconnaissance for uranium of the Arica area in northern Chile. Slightly anomalous radioactivity was noted in shear zones in and near the outer margins of a tourmalinized breccia zone and in fractures weakly mineralized with copper located between the Campanani and the Dos Hermanos mines.
