During the second quarter, of the study of undermoderated uranium-water lattices, the work has been largely involved with calculations of the conversion characteristics of slightly enriched uranium metal fuel over a wide range of water-to-uranium volume ratio and a continuation of theoretical work on resonance capture. It is felt that significant progress has been made in the latter area particularly in understanding the limitations of various approximate techniques which are adaptable to lattice calculations.
