APPLICATIONS OF COMPTON BACKSCATTER RADIATION TO NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING

摘要

The efficacy of employment of Compton backscattered radiation for one-side only measure of thickness or density has been investigated for a variety of structural materials, a wide range of radiation energies, and a few basic geometrical arrangements of components.nPulse techniques have been employed to provide upper and lower energy discrimination, but the results show that this more expensive method may be discarded in favor of integrated current measurement in some applications.
