摘要

Zirconium, Zircaloy-2, vacuum-melted Zircaloy-3, and argonmelted Zircaloy-3 were cold worked to levels of 10, 2 5, and 50 per cent preparatory to conducting recovery and recrystallization annealing studies. A uniform penultimate grain size was established for each material prior to cold working. Annealing studies were made in three atmospheres, air, helium, and vacuum, to establish the effect of contamination on properties.nThe results of Rockwell G hardness and electrical resistivity measurements are reported on the cold-worked material as are corrosion tests in 360 C (680 F) water.
