Deposition efficiencies for slab and spherical fuel elements are derived for quadratic and linear approximations of the true fis¬sion fragment stopping power curve. The relative efficiency for the same two systems are also derived for the cases of linear and quad¬ratic G variation along the fission fragment track.nCalculations were made for particular cases with the derived equations and the data are plotted. Several methods of applying these data to different systems of materials are given. Several interest¬ing features noted are the lower efficiency for the quadratic energy loss approximation compared to the linear energy loss approxima¬tion, the higher efficiencies due to G value variation, and the increase in efficiency when the range in the process fluid decreases.
