COMPONENT FEASIBILITY TEST REPORT FOR THE AMF ON-POWER REFUELING SYSTEM FOR THE DOUGLAS POINT PLANT

The objective of this activity is to engineer, design, fabricate and test a prototype, on-power, refueling machine suitable for operation with the Canadian Douglas Point Plant, CANDU I, heavy-water moderated, power reactor. On-power refueling will permit the loading and unloading of the natural-uranium fuel while the reactor is operating at full power.nThis work is being performed under a Cooperative Program between the USAEC and Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd., which covers the development of heavy-water moderated, power reactors. It is administered by the Savannah River Operations Office of the USAEC.
