MUFT REVISION -A FAST NEUTRON SPECTRUM CODE FOR THE IBM-650

The MUFT-R program for the IBM-65O is a revised version of MUFT-III(l) designed to solve the fast neutron transport problem for general mixtures of elements and obtain sets of average fast neutron diffusion constants for specified portions of the fast energy spectrum. Because the MUFT equations involve many approximations to the exact transport model, a detailed derivation of the equations is included. The Goertzel-Greuling approximation for deuterium has been incorporated into the equations so that deuterium moderation may be treated accurate¬ly. Machine operation has been simplified and a unified input and output format make the program easy to use.
