摘要

The results of an experimental and analytical investigation of the frictional and heat transfer effects for the flow of gases through heated channels at flow rates such that the flow may be regarded as laminar is described. The treatment is restricted to a consideration of the steady flow of gases through tubes of circular cross section. The fact that the thermodynamic and transport properties of gases depend upon the temperature of the gas requires that a realistic investigation of a gas flow problem which involves temperature variation include this effect.
