FAIM is a general multigroup, one-dimensional diffusion equation code programmed in FORTRAN language for the IBM 7090 computer. Although the code is basically designed for use in connection with a microscopic cross section library, it is possible to enter macroscopic cross sections in some or all groups and in some or all regions.nA major feature of the code is the revised data input consisting of self-explanatory data sheets. There are three types oftconcentration searches included in the choice of six criticality searches. A data edit including neutron balance is also a feature of the code.
