COMPUTER PROGRAMS FOR FINDING CLOSED ORBITS AND STUDYING PARTICLE MOTION IN A VARIABLE ENERGY CYCLOTRON

摘要

This report gives a detailed account of a set of FORTRAN sub-programs designed to be complementary to programs written to produce isochronous magnetic fields. A report on the latter has already been issued. The programs described here concern the location of equilibrium orbits and the subsequent studies of particle motion in a variable energy cyclotron. The input to these programs is reasonably variable but the routines can easily be recompiled if greater flexibility is desired.nAn extraction program will be added later.
