HIGH LEVEL DOSE METER WITH METER INDICATION AND AURAL SIGNALING

A prototype dosemeter was developed and satisfactorily tested. It has a presettable trip dose from 10 to 100 r, an aural indicator that signals the accumulation of the preset dose, and a meter that indicates the dose accumulation. The dosemeter employs a 10 cc ion chamber as a detector and is both lightweight and pocket-sized. Operational periods of 30 minutes can be achieved before adjustment becomes necessary.
