The materials were Boral, cadmium, or alu¬minum. Most perturbers were fully inserted, but some measurements were made while the Boral cruciform rod was l/3 and 2/3 withdrawn.nThermal flux distributions were measured with gold and dyspro¬sium foils. Reactivity was determined by using əp/əh techniques and by measuring the differential boron worth and the boron concentration required for criticality at the reference moderator height.nReactivity and thermal neutron flux shapes were calculated using PDQ-4, a four-group, two-dimensional neutron diffusion code for the Philco 2000 computer, and TKO, a four-group, three-dimensional code for the IBM-704 computer.
