PIP1 is a FORTRAN programme available for the IBM 7090 and 7030 (STRETCH) computers which solves the multigroup equations of the method of collosion probabilities. This note provides a guide to the use of the programme, describes the problems which may be solved, the data requirements and the output. Collision probabilities are not calculated but must be provided, and must include all boundary conditions. It is a consequence of this requirement that any geometry may be treated for which the collision probabilities can be calculated, and the geometry may be infinite or finite.
