摘要

The sample is ground and sieved to a standard particle size distribution and mixed with an internal standard of the same particle size distribution. This mixture is then irradiated, with white radiation from a tungsten target X-ray tube, in a Philips Universal Vacuum Spectrograph. The intensities of the characteristic K a lines of calcium, strontium and the respective internal standards titanium and yttrium are measured using a flow proportional counter. The calcium and strontium contents are determined by interpolation of the calcium/titanium and strontium/yttrium ratios determined on the sample on standard curves of calcium and strontium content versus the above ratios.
