The aim of these studies is the quantitative understanding of the various mechanisms which lead to the retainment and the release of rare gases in solids, especially in reactor fuel materials. The investigation of single crystals is an important part of this work, inasmuch as many complica¬tions due to polycrystalline material can be avoided.nThis report summarizes the main results of post-irradiation experiments obtained to date.
