A simple method has been developed in which radon leaking from radium-226 and thorium-228 sources under vacuum is quantitatively measured. The collection of radon is by dissolution in an organic solvent. Measure¬ment is by liquid scintillation counting, using an internal phosphor, a- andβ-particles both being counted with high efficiency.
