Describes a computer method of updating and maintaining a file of parts list and list of material data. Provision is made for high-speed retrieval of any infor¬mation contained in the system. Proposes the application of these same concepts to scheduling and procurement activity. Compares tape and disk files for this application. Describes the generalized disk software package used to program all the systems.
