Improved understanding of the economical interactions of plutonium utilization has been gained through cycle analyses. Attractive concepts which have been explored for the processing of plutonium fuels include anion exchange processes and processes using molten salt media.nDetailed summaries of progress in each of the research and development programs are reported in the following sections of this report, and are reviewed in highlight form in the paragraphs below.
