摘要

Behavior of chemically-deposited (electroless) nickel on 1245 and 8001 aluminum alloys was investigated in high flow (25 ft/,sec) and low flow aqueous systems at 300 and 330 C. Effects of heat treatment on corrosion properties of the nickel plate were studied.. Relatively thick nickel /aluminum diffusion layers suppressed cata¬strophic failure of 1245 aluminum at 330 C. Magnetic and crystalline properties of the nickel plate are discussed;behavior of exposed aluminum at defects in the nickel plate is reported.
