摘要

The procedure described in this paper, though somewhat, time consuming, achieves results unattainable by conventional mechanical polishing methods. This system can be modified for the preparation of other hard and brittle materials. The abrasives may be varied to suit the alloys, but--to assure the desired results — the wheels should not be changed. To maintain flatness, surfaces for polishing must be nap-free;any type of nap will produce relief in the structure.
