The room temperature optical constants of several silver-cadmium alloys (0 to 12. 5% Cd) have been measured by Avery's method in the wavelength region 290-335 mil. The observed changes of the real and imaginary parts of the dielectric constant, ∈= ∈1 +∈,and of the Plasmon loss function, Im, are interpreted qualitatively.
