PULSE SHAPE DISCRIMINATORS FOR SCINTILLATORS CONTAINING ZnS(Ag)

摘要

Pulse shapes in ZnS(Ag) for alpha and electron excitation are observed, and found to be different. The nature of the short electron pulses is investigated. On the basis of the observations, efficient pulse shape discriminators are devised, and tests with them are reported in this paper.
