THE ISOLATION OF MICROGRAM AMOUNTS OF BERKELIUM AND CALIFORNIUM FROM IRRADIATED AMERICIUM

摘要

This report gives a detailed description of the processing of a slug containing 2.5 grams of highly irradiated 241Am from which approximately 200 milligrams of curium and microgram-quantities of berkelium and californium were isolated. The processing included the first full scale application of a newly developed extraction chromatography procedure using HDEHP loaded columns.
