摘要

The discrepancy between the observed mean reduction times for fallout radioisotopes deposited on plants and the radioactive half-lives of the nuclides is due to a number of variables. The same variables operate regardless of isotope involved, and are related to the behavior of particles on plants. Physical and biological factors modify this behavior, accounting for the differences noted.
