CERL-II - A COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR ANALYZING HEMISPHERE-NOZZLE SHELLS OF REVOLUTION WITH AXISYMMETRIC AND UNSYMMETRIC LOADINGS

CERL-II is a revised version of a computer code that calculates the stress distributions in a hemispherical pressure vessel with a radially attached, nozzle. The nozzle may be entirely external or may also protrude into the vessel. The program calculates the stresses for any of four loadings:internal pressure, axial thrust on the nozzle, bending moment applied, to the nozzle, and. transverse thrust on the nozzle.nThis report is primarily an instruction manual for using the code. Input and output are described in detail and a Fortran listing of the code is included. Sample problems have also been included, that show the favorable comparison between experimental and. analytical results.
